OUCU Gives $30,000 to Passion Works and Challenges Other Businesses to Join In
With A Starter Contribution of $30,000, OUCU is Challenging Athens Businesses to Contribute up to $200,000
Passion Works Studio is an organization that is near and dear to our hearts. Like OUCU, it was born in Athens, built by people who believed in their neighbors, and has grown into something the whole region can be proud of. It is a pillar of joy, creativity, and belonging in our community.
OUCU began in 1955 with $25 and a simple belief: everyone deserves a fair chance to build the life they want. We see that same belief at work every day inside Passion Works, where artists with and without developmental differences create side by side, earn a paycheck for their talent, and transform overlooked materials into art that travels far beyond Southeast Ohio.
As a not-for-profit credit union, we live by the motto “people helping people.” Passion Works lives it too, through creative employment, inclusion, and a deep commitment to sustainability. That is why we want to help them realize their dreams of renovating their new building, expanding programming, and establishing an endowment.
We strongly believe this will have a meaningful impact on the city of Athens and serve as a model for other organizations serving people with developmental differences.
This is where you come in.
We want to invite you to be part of Passion Works Studio's next chapter. We're already more than halfway to our goal, and this is your chance to help push us across the finish line.
As Passion Works' Financial partner, it was imperative for us to go first in this project and for us to challenge other Athens, Ohio businesses and individuals to join in.
Won't you join us to raise $200,000 for this wonderful organization in the month of November?
Together, let's watch the power of giving make meaningful changes in our community.
